Austin’s Luxury Wedding Scene Won Us Over!
Last week, we dipped our toes into the Texas wedding scene with two showcase events and were met with nothing but the best Southern hospitality.
We debuted The Vanity Portrait Studio in Austin, and wow—did those guests bring some serious Texas glam for us to photograph! We sponsored two back-to-back events with the goal of connecting with luxury wedding planners and event pros in the area.
Both events exuded their own brand of luxury, and the contrast between their themes allowed us to create uniquely different portraits—one night after the other.
In Trusted Company at The Austin Proper Hotel
In Trusted Company is a NEW multi-day connection experience for wedding professionals—and this was their first event!
Hosted at the Austin Proper Hotel and organized by the amazing team at In Trusted Company, we used the Proper’s existing wooden-paneled wall as our backdrop, creating a warm, textured feel for the portraits. Paired with studio-worthy lighting, guests who showed up dressed to impress, and our Senior Portrait Photographer, Kristina, expertly posing each hand, finger, and toe, we had a non-stop line all night.

Did you know WIPA Austin is theeee largest WIPA chapter in the country? And it’s only a year old!!!
Our second night took things up a notch at the Omni Barton Creek, where we were welcomed to an Old Hollywood glam-themed evening. Members from Texas and beyond did not hold back in their fancy attire!
Guests were dressed to the nines in exquisite evening gowns, stunning hairdos, and dapper suits. We brought a little bit of California chic to the mix, which perfectly complemented the luxe vibes. The backdrop, designed by luxury wedding planner Barbara Shorts, was both perfectly elegant and oh-so-opulent.
Whether the event is casual chic or ultra-glam, we pride ourselves in seamlessly adapting to the vibe and create striking portraits.
We heard one comment over and over from guests, and it was: “We don’t have anything like this in Texas!!!” Well, that may be changing soon! We were so impressed by Austin’s vibrant events scene that we’re excited to bring Vanity to more events out there in the future.
